I only explain the above to say that don't mind paying, but the 3D Blu-Ray thing is purely a bit of fun and I'm not looking to switch from MakeMKV, but whilst I paid ~£50GBP to MakeMKV the Lifetime Licence of DVDFab 'Blu-Ray Ripper' is £70GBP (including the 'new years' $10 off promotion) which is a bit much for a side project. DVDFab does this quite nicely and all Mac based so can use my iMac Pro to do the work, but in trying different profiles have exceeded my 3 trial rips. MakeMKV is just ripping the streams and as I understand it I then need to run through BD2D2MK3D. I also have a VR headset and as such have been messing around with a couple of 3D Blu-Ray's. I'm a long time user of MakeMKV - to the point of purchasing, even though you don't have to as I have the capacity to store and play the raw MKV's it produces and like knowing I'm leaving nothing on the table in terms of quality plus not having to encode is quick.
